HIGH aspirations are resulting in improvements for staff and students at Stanton School.

The primary school has been ranked fourth in the ‘Top 100 most improved Primary Schools’ nationally, according to league tables released last week.

Department of Education data shows that the number of pupils at Stanton School achieving Level 4 in English and Maths SATs has increased from 43 per cent in 2009 to 92 per cent in 2012.

Headteacher Helen Nicholson said: “This fantastic achievement is down to the hard work, dedication and commitment of staff, the governing body and most importantly the children and parents.”
