FORMER EastEnders’ landlady Anita Dobson will be pulling panto cheers instead of boozy pints this Christmas.
The actress, who played Queen Vic landlady Angie, is one of three Strictly Come Dancing stars who will share the role of genie in this year’s panto Aladdin. Her fellow genies will be loveable astrologer Russell Grant and Strictly’s professional dancer Camilla Dallerup.
Together the trio will make this year’s panto “more thrilling than ever,” say theatre bosses.
The panto leading roles, announced last month, will be played by singer Gareth Gates, Britain’s got Talent finalist Paul Burling and West End leading lady Nicola Brazil.
