TRAFFIC issues continue to plague Milton Keynes Central train station as work continues on a major redevelopment of the area.

This picture, sent in by Ilona Woodward, shows the queues of traffic waiting to pick up or drop off passengers outside the busy station.

Signs around the area acknowledge the traffic problems caused by the redevelopment works and apologise for any delays.

This picture comes just weeks after the Citizen revealed that the newly build roads at the train station were too narrow for two buses to safely pass side-by-side.

Work on the £2 million Station Square facelift began in August. The square is being split into three areas, one for taxis, a ‘kiss and drop’ area and a bus lane. Work on the redevelopment is set to be completed in the next couple of months.
