A MAN who raped a woman twice in her home in Coffee Hall has been jailed for nine-and-a-half years.
Anthony Newell, aged 35, from Greenway, in Hansworth, Birmingham, was sentenced at the Old Bailey yesterday having previously been convicted of the offence which took place on April 23 last year.
Detective Constable Liz Batchelor, from Bletchley police station, said: “Newell attacked his victim twice on the same night in her home.
“She was put through a horrendous ordeal in a place where she should have been safe. I hope that this sentence provides her with some closure and allows her to get on with the rest of her life.”
