Overall performance of the business - which owns the MK1 Shopping & Leisure Park in Milton Keynes, was significantly ahead of the market.

MK1 Shopping & Leisure Park is home to a number of leading retail brands including Next, M&S, and New Look and popular restaurant brands such as Pizza Express, Frankie & Benny’s and TGI Fridays.

In March 2016 The Crown Estate also acquired the McDonalds and KFC units on the park and is exploring additional opportunities for development.

“Our focus this year has continued to be on creating great places for our retailers and customers to shop and enjoy in dominant locations, such as MK1, and help deliver another record return for the nation’s finances,” said Hannah Milne, Director of The Crown Estate’s retail portfolio.
