A RESTAURANT in Milton Keynes is offering every customer a discount off their meal if they bring in a Christmas toy during the festive period, which will later be delivered in time for Christmas to the children at MK ACT.
From Friday, December 9, Red Hot World Buffet & Bar in the Theatre District will be collecting children’s toys in return for a 20 per cent discount off the customers’ meal. The toys collected will be delivered by Santa and the Red Hot staff along with a Christmas meal to the children at MK ACT as a special Christmas gift from the restaurant.
MK-ACT is the domestic violence charity in Milton Keynes; they provide support and safe accommodation for women and children escaping or living with domestic abuse. Many of the families will have come into the refuge with little or no belongings and at this time of the year to be able to give each child a present will help them to regain some normality at a difficult time.
Restaurant Manager Sunil Ganpati said: “We are honoured that we can in some way help towards such a worthy cause, especially at this time of year. We are hoping to collect toys for all ages and for both boys and girls, we appreciate our customers support in helping this happen”.
All donated gifts must be new. One gift receives 20 per cent off one individual meal, not the total bill. The collection ends on Friday, December 16.
