DRESSING down proved a good way to ensure charity donations were on the up last term for youngsters at The Milton Keynes Academy.

Mohamed Iman, Jordan Hart, David Allan and Victoria Walker persuaded fellow pupils to wear non-uniform and donate £1 to Sport Relief.

They managed to raise £955.16.

Victoria said: “I was really shocked and pleased by how many students wanted to get involved and the amount we raised.”

The four Year 12 Leisure and Tourism students organised the event themselves, winning praise from their teacher Kirsten Lea.

Kirsten said: “They worked really hard and also learned the importance of teamwork.”
