TWO city restaurants are helping couples celebrate their own Diamond Jubilee anniversaries with a free meal offer.
Crown Carvery restaurants, the Peartree Bridge Inn, on Waterside, and the Wolverton House, on Stratford Road are marking the Queen’s Jubilee by treating Milton Keynes’ diamond residents – those celebrating 60 years of marriage – to a free carvery between Monday, June 4 and Saturday, June 9.
Ian Hart, manager at Crown Carvery restaurant the Peartree Bridge Inn, said: “As the UK’s most regal carvery brand, we felt it was only fitting that we do something special to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee.
“Any 60 year anniversary is quite an achievement; and while our guests can’t profess to 60 years as the UK’s Head of State, we are confident there are lots of other gems in our community who are celebrating a diamond milestone of their own this year, 60 years of marriage.
“For the week of the Jubilee we will be honouring all of these locals in true sparkling style, offering them a token of what we do best – a carvery with all the trimmings – on the house, of course.”
Enjoying the free carvery couldn’t be easier. All couples who got married in 1952 simply need to pop into their local Crown Carvery and present their wedding certificate along with a current form of ID to the team at the Peartree Bridge Inn or Wolverton House.
Calum Sims, manager at the Wolverton House, added: “At Crown Carveries we pride ourselves on delivering a right royal welcome for all of our guests. So, even if you’re not celebrating your diamond wedding anniversary this year, you can still honour the Queen’s Jubilee with us and enjoy a roast dinner fit for a king or queen at only £3.99, Monday to Saturday.”
