A reward has been offered for the return of stolen trophies after they went missing from an Indian restaurant on Saturday night.

Staff at Calcutta Brasserie, who won the 2014 Best Asian Restaurant from the MK Food & Leisure Awards and the 2014 British Curry finalist award, made the discovery after closing up at 11pm.

Ali Ajmol, manager of the Stony Stratford restaurant, said: “We would like to think that these trophies have been taken as a practical joke, but we would really appreciate them returned to us.

“They mean a great deal to myself and the staff. They have no value for their core materials.

“One of the members of staff said perhaps it is the same people that stole the Red Bull trophies, but I think that was on a very different scale, although we understand their frustration.”

Calcutta Brasserie is offering a small reward for anyone who knows the whereabouts of the trophies or discovers them.
