Action4Youth, a young people’s charity, is holding a special sponsored Rowathon event at Caldecotte Xperience this weekend, (February 28 and March 1).
Teams will be rowing the equivalent length of the River Thames from Historic Rowing Centre Henley to Mortlake, the end of the current Boat Race course, a distance of 86.3km on Concept 2 indoor rowing machines.
The not for profit outdoor education centre is raising funds to install a fully accessible Yurt Village to enable young people, particularly wheelchair users, to experience a residential break away with their peers and participate in the new outdoor thrill of ‘Glamping’, while enjoying a range of outdoor activities.
Anyone wishing to sponsor the team should call 01908-232042 or firstname.lastname@example.org. alternatively visit Localgiving MK: www.localgiving.com
The money raised will help thousands of young people throughout Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire.
