A WOMAN is looking to run the Race for Life this year, wearing only the logos of city companies.
Stacey Westbury, who has competed in the event for the past two years in full body paint, will this year go one further and get a host of businesses to sponsor her to have their logo painted somewhere on her body.
Stacey said: “I have done the last two years as a pink and black leopard, and all black with blue swirls. This year I wanted to do something a bit quirky to raise more.
“The last two years have been a success with me raising close to £300 but this year that will be the target just in one race.”
She will be racing in memory of her mum, who died when Stacey was young, and for all those women around the country who have ever had scares or undergone treatment.
She said: “Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer and this is a great chance to give something back.”
Stacey will be competing in the 5km event at the Race for Life on Saturday, June 11, but will be taking more precautions than she did when she appeared as a pink leopard.
She said: “Where the parts that were pink had sunburned the black dots hadn’t so I went out later that night looking like a sunburnt leopard. I need to take more care.”
