Rutherford faces “ultimate downer” after his phone is swiped in Rio

British bronze medalist Greg Rutherford has had his misery compiled after his phone was stolen in Rio.

The long jumper Milton Keynes jumped 8.29m on Saturday night to take the bronze medal, but was dealt “ultimate downer” after his phone was stolen.

His biggest disappointment was the loss of photographs of his 10-month-old son Milo.

He said: “The ultimate downer from this champs is having my phone stolen. Just for the pics and videos of Milo.”

Rutherford came third in the long jump competition in Rio over the weekend and was publically disappointed by the result.
