MR SAAB – otherwise known as Erik Carlsson, was guest of honour as the Saab Owners Club gathered in Cranfield on Sunday morning to say goodbye to their beloved car manufacturer.
The Swedish company ceased operations late last year, but enthusiasts descended on their Cranfield headquarters as part of worldwide rallies in support of Saab.
Hundreds turned out to show their affection, with a huge variety of cars on display.
The star of the show though was 82-year-old Carlsson, Saab’s popular rally driver from the 1950s and 60s, and has become known as Mr Saab for his lifelong work with the company.
