Sainsbury’s give thanks to charitable customers

Sainsbury’s, Milton Keynes has issued a big thank you to all their customers for the very generous donations to the various charities that have been in the store recently.

Sainsbury’s have had the local scout groups in bag packing for customers and raised over £1,000.

The Wolverton and Stony Stratford Rotary Club wheeled their Christmas float into the car park and raised a further £2,214. £633 will be donated to Milton Keynes Bereavement Service which is Sainsbury’s Milton Keynes Charity of the Year, the remainder will be distributed into local groups.

Finally Sainsbury’s customers were entertained by the Salvation Army who in turned raised an amazing £513 in just two hours.

Nick Wynne, Store Manager, said “I am overwhelmed with the response by the customers. This is our fourth Christmas in this store and I would like to thank all our customers for their support and take this opportunity to wish them all a very happy new year.”
