A programme of free summer activities run by Aragon Housing Association was once again welcomed by young people all over Bucks and Beds.
For the eighth year running, the organisation’s youth team provided a range of activities to bring 200 children and young people together over the summer holidays, from growing a vegetable allotment, crafts, making fragrant bath bomb toiletries to encouraging healthy eating and fitness.
Mum Zara, whose five-year-old son, Josh, took part in community activities in Broughton, said: “I’m really impressed with the variety of activities available for all the different age groups.”
Aragon spokesman Nicola King said: “It’s good to offer the opportunity for children to get together, especially in more remote areas where access to holiday activities isn’t so easy. It’s also a chance for us to network with their parents and for them to get to know each other.”
Aragon’s ‘Activate’ programme is part of the social landlord’s community involvement programme.”
