'˜Shark night' had a serious message in Milton Keynes

Funding was provided by The England Illegal Money Lending Team, working in partnership with Fullers Slade Resident’s Association.

Wolverton swimming pool was hired to host a shark themed party.

The aim was to raise awareness of the dangers of borrowing from illegal money lenders, commonly known as loan sharks

‘Shark Night’ consisted of a procession by residents holding inflatable sharks to the pool for a swim in shark infested water.

“Loan sharks are known to operate in the area, so raising awareness of the dangers was a serious message delivered in a fun way,” said Jill Dyer from the association.
