Today we launch our new look Citizen and with it a campaign to fund a new A&E department at Milton Keynes Hospital.
The A&E unit at the hospital’s Eaglestone site has long outgrown its purpose, currently dealing with 53,000 more patients per year than it was designed to treat when first built in the 1980s. Now city MPs Mark Lancaster and Iain Stewart have joined forces with the Citizen to raise the £20million needed to build a new A&E to cope with Milton Keynes’ growing population.
The MPs have pledged their help and want you, the readers of the Milton Keynes Citizen, to back our campaign by signing up to a petition calling on the government to act now.
