TWO sprightly sisters whose ages total the grand sum of 168 are gearing up to complete Sunday’s Sport Relief run – in fancy dress.

Elizabeth La Chenal, 81, and her 87-year-old sister Jennie will dress as an Austrian maid and an Old Time Music Hall singer respectively.

“We’re really excited!” said former actress Elizabeth. “We’ve been practising walking a mile every day and we plan to sing music hall songs as we walk.”

The pair will be among hundreds of people taking part in Sainsbury’s Go the Extra Mile challenge for Sport Relief on Sunday.

The biggest event starts at the Church of Christ the Cornerstone and takes walkers or runners around the city centre.
