At the Easter Vigil at St. Bede’s, the Catholic Church in Newport Pagnell, six new members were received into the Church.

This traditional service is celebrated the evening before Easter Day and begins with the lighting of the Easter Candle outside the Church. This was followed by a procession into the Church, where Deacon Jon Walls sang the Exultet, a hymn of Easter praises. Later in the service the six new members were confirmed.

Father James, who celebrated the service, said: “The six together with others have explored their faith for some time. It is wonderful to welcome them to the Church.”
