Men in Sheds MK is looking to secure the support of a Volunteer Administrator to help with basic admin tasks. The Shed has been running for several years. They have a solid membership. The Shed presents many opportunities to do constructive things, anything from painting, model making, photography, computers, wood and metal working.

Youth Information Service (YIS) are looking for Volunteer Counsellors to help support young people aged 11 - 21 who live, learn or work in and around Milton Keynes.

Issues they work with include anxiety, anger, recovery from trauma/abuse, confidence building, depression, relationship worries, sexuality, gender identity, exam pressures, addiction, grief, motivation issues and general worries. If you have a particular client group or issue you are interested in gaining experience with they will match you with appropriate clients where possible.

They take on counsellors in their final year of their counselling qualification looking for placements, or qualified counsellors looking to gain experience, practice hours or to simply ‘give back’.

PACT (Prison Advice & Care Trust) service is designed to provide support to offenders through mentoring to encourage full integration and to promote social inclusion. As a Volunteer Mentor you will have the opportunity to volunteer with both offenders and ex-offenders, either in the prison or out in the community.

You will have the opportunity to build up a relationship and build confidence and motivation! You will also build on your own existing skills and learn new skills. Communication is key and it is a very important aspect of this volunteering role!
