A new, free, live arts and real ale festival launches in Stony Stratford this weekend.

Stablestock is being held in the Stables bar courtyard behind the Bull hotel and promises lots of music, lots of liquid refreshment and lots of crafty sorts to boot.

Stablestock starts tomorrow, but the big musical slice comes at you on Saturday.

Between 4pm and 11pm live music will fall from bands including Palmerston, Glass tears, The Fear of Ray, The Further Adventures of Vodka Boy and Korda Marshall.Vaults Bar favourites will also play for you, with Five Men Not Called Matt among those making musical deposits.

An arts and crafts fair will run with great gifts, and guest ales will flow across the weekend.

“What better way to spend an August weekend than finding yourself at a friendly family festival filled with fine ales, quality arts and crafts, and a showcase of the best locally sourced musical musical talent available?” asks organiser Dave Ludden.

“The Bull Hotel and Vaults Bar is putting this all in one place - sample the delights of the bar, saunter around the stalls and soak up the sunshine and the sounds in the Stables courtyard,” Dave added.
