A lower school welcomed in the new term in theatrical style thanks to a donation.
The pupils at Ridgmont Lower School received a new stage for drama productions in their assembly hall following a £2,000 donation from the staff at Amazon in Milton Keynes.
The new stage, which will be used for the first time later this year in a number of school productions, was delivered by Matthew Beadle and Marta Rogoz from the company’s Milton Keynes fulfilment centre.
General manager Ashley Cowen said: “When we learned that the boys and girls at Ridgmont Lower School needed a new stage for their assemblies and plays, we were happy to help them out. We hope the stage is put to good use with lots of great drama performances during the school year.”
Ridgmont Lower School head teacher Janine Cox added: “The pupils at Ridgmont enjoy getting involved in performing arts as part of their studies so the new stage will be well used and loved by everyone at the school. On behalf of the staff, pupils and parents at Ridgmont Lower School, I’d like to say a big thank you to the team at Amazon for their support.”
