Still time to run MK Marathon

Have you ever thought about rising to the challenge of a marathon? Missed out on a London Marathon place?

Why not run the Milton Keynes Marathon on April 29?

For the small price of £36, you could purchase one of Diabetes UK’s guaranteed places and take part in the first ever Milton Keynes Marathon and raise some vital funds for the charity at the same time.

All runners receive a free fundraising pack, running vest and sports bag.

Diabetes is one of the biggest health challenges facing the UK today and the money raised will help improve the care and support available for people affected by the condition.

Close to 10,000 people in Milton Keynes have diabetes and a further 3,400 are believed to have undiagnosed Type 2 diabetes.

Diabetes is serious: if not diagnosed early enough or managed effectively, the condition can lead to devastating complications such as heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, blindness and amputation.
