Hundreds of people turned out to enjoy some fun in the sun over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The Parks Trust’s annual May Day festival, held in Campbell Park on Sunday, saw visitors enjoy traditional dancing displays, live music and a host of other attractions in glorious sunshine.
The festival was opened with a Maypole dancing display presented by children from Great Linford School.
The event also featured various variety acts, including performers from MK Music Service, who wowed crowds, followed by a colourful fancy dress competition in the afternoon with children dressed as jesters, Green Men and May Queens. Judges decided the winners of each category, with each being presented with a family ticket to The Twits Open Air Theatre on May 19. Throughout the day canal boats were selling fudge and cheese rerfreshments and boat rides. Visitors were also able to enjoy fair rides, crafts and food. Organisers were delighted with the turnout and the weather, which contributed to the huge success.
