Big hearts met blood and gore when staff and customers at Superdrug held a Halloween fundraising party.

The store in Midsummer Arcade raised £262, which went to its annual pot of £2,377, to help fund Marie Curie Cancer Care nurses.

Store manager Sarah Wortley said: “We’ve been honoured to work with Marie Curie and help raise vital funds for the charity. We’re thrilled with our fundraising effort, it’s a real achievement.

“We’d like to thank our customers for their incredible generosity and I’d also like to thank the whole team for their enthusiasm in really getting behind the charity drive.”

Hazel Bendon, Marie Curie community fundraiser for Buckinghamshire, added: “Our partnership with Superdrug has been a true success, and we’ve been touched by the consideration shown by shoppers and staff.”
