A grumble of pugs dressed up as superheroes went on a sponsored walk to raise vital funds for their four-legged friends.
On September 13, members of the Bucks Pug Group made heads turn when they went for walkies around Willen Lake with their beloved pets.
The nationwide annual event raised £150 to help support the Dog Welfare Rescue Association (PDWRA), which has been bombarded with ex-breeding pugs in need of rehabilitation and a loving home. The money will be used to help pay PDWRA’s vet bills that totalled £70,000 last year.
The local pug group was set up in 2013 by Pippa Ford, also known as Grandma Pug.
She wanted to give other pug owners the chance to socialise and support each other and there are now more than 270 members in the area.
There are planned events, monthly walks and even a pug’s Christmas party in the diary. To get involved search Bucks Pug Group on Facebook.
