Techy Tea Party to help older people stay connected

Older people struggling to use their mobile phones and other devices will have the chance to get free advice from EE staff at a special event.

Age UK Milton Keynes has teamed up with EE to offer one-to-one advice to older people struggling to use their mobile devices – over a cup of tea.

The Techy Tea Party will be taking place at Age UK Milton Keynes’ offices at The Peartree Centre, Peartree Bridge on July 17 from 3pm to 5pm.

Help will be on hand to deal with any problems and concerns people might have regarding their phones. laptops and tablet computers.

Paul Griffiths, Community Development Officer with Age UK Milton Keynes said; “Some older people struggle with their phones and other mobile technology yet these devices can keep them in contact with family and friends and can be vitally important in an emergency. So we are really grateful to the staff from EE for giving up their time to offer their professional expertise.”
