A 16-YEAR-OLD girl has been left shaken after she was sexually assaulted in Heelands on Sunday.
The incident happened at about 1pm when the teenager was walking along the Redway by Station Drive, and a man rode past her on a bike. The man stopped and approached her, asking her for a kiss. The victim said no and the man then put his hands down her top and into her bra, touching her inappropriately.
The offender then rode off in the direction of the nearby shops.
The man is Asian, in his early 20s, around 5ft 4ins, and average build. He had short black hair, bushy eyebrows, and a bent nose, as if it had been broken. He was wearing a blue T-shirt with white on the front, and dark jogging bottoms with a white line up both legs.
PC James Punter, investigating the incident, said: “Fortunately the girl was not injured in this incident, but has understandably been left very shaken and upset.
“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area of Heelands on Sunday afternoon and saw a man matching the description of the offender, or anyone with any information about the incident to contact me.”
