A teenage boy had his iPod and mobile phone stolen in a robbery on Friday.

At about 11pm the 17-year-old victim was walking alone on the Redway between Oxley Park and Westcroft when he was approached by two men on white mopeds.

One of the men claimed to be carrying a knife but nothing was produced.

One of the men who was riding a 50cc moped, took a blue C300 Nokia mobile phone serial number 355933043260788, from the victim while the second man, on a 125cc moped, headbutted him on the nose and stole a silver iPod Nano.

The victim sustained bruising to his nose but did not need hospital treatment.

The offenders are white, aged between 17 and 20-years-old, of slim build and they had a local accent. Both their faces were covered.

PC Dave Monkhouse, from the Great Linford neighbourhood policing team, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who noticed two white mopeds in the area as the riders may have important information which could aid our investigation”.

Witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
