Thames Valley Police ‘lose’ FIVE convicted sex offenders

Hundreds of convicted sex offenders have been “lost” by police, according to official records.

Five of them are wanted by Thames Valley Police after vanishing while being monitored by the force.

A total of 396 registered sex offenders are missing from across the UK after moving home without telling the authorities their new address.

Registered sex offenders are required to inform the authorities of their addresses so they can be monitored.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “In line with the national picture the majority of RSOs that go missing are likely to have left the country, however we continue to pursue enquires to locate any missing RSO.”
