Dr. Nicholas Hicks, Director of Public Health, NHS Milton Keynes, is to give a talk on the impact of inequality on health outcomes in Milton Keynes on Tuesday March 27, at 7.30 p.m. in the Church of Christ the Cornerstone.
The statistics are shocking showing how inequality of income has an enormous impact on life chances. This is a talk that no-one interested in the future of Milton Keynes can afford to miss.
Dr. Hicks’ talk is free and everyone is welcome.
This is the third talk organized by the Milton Keynes Equality Group, which raises awareness about the damage caused by inequality and campaigns for a fairer more equal Milton Keynes.
The group is also joining the national campaign of The Equality Trust to ask councillors to publish information about wage ratios in the council and in firms with council contracts. We are asking councillors to consider the implementation of a living minimum wage.”
