The Next Generation

THE wrapper comes off the first Craufurd Sessions of 2012 on Saturday night, to reveal a tasty five-fold attack from some of the new talents out to command in the coming months

This so-called ‘next generation’ bash is a dream for those digging the hardcore punk thing, with Dashwood leading the charge to new ears.

They take as much influence from Converge as they do from Black Flag, and say ‘stay aggressive, stay young.’

We’re trying, fellas, we’re trying...

From Slough, welcome alternative punk sorts Hindsights, that’s them below, and then sample a set by End Result who cite Slayer and Life of Agony among their most favoured.

So we could be looking at something midway between South of Heaven and River Runs Red, then. Which would be worth paying through the nose for.

Actually though, this gig will only set you back a fiver, and you’ll also get to check the blended hip hop beats and rockin’ dirty effects of singer-songwriter Kian Vaziri and hardcore troupe Minor Setback for that price.

It’s cheap, and cheerful in the best possible sense, from 7.30pm.
