Thieves stole an MP3 player, a Kindle, a kettle and a small TV when they broke into a house boat in Simpson on Wednesday.

The doors of the boat, which was moored on the Grand Union Canal, were forced open between 6.15pm and 7pm, before thieves stole the items.

Detective Constable Wendy Cissell said “We are appealing for witnesses who saw anything or persons on the tow path with the items stolen.”

Any witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
