Sentimental items, including jewellery and a camera, have been stolen from an 80-year-old man after a burglary in Newport Pagnell.

Sometime between 12 noon on October 12 and 9.10pm this Saturday, offenders forced open a rear door before stealing £1,000, a camera, laptop and jewellery.

Jewellery taken included a curb link design necklace with padlock clasp, gold oval locket, oval cluster ring with single ruby and ten diamonds and a gold ring with five diamonds.

Detective Constable Chris Oakman of Milton Keynes police station, said: “We are keen to talk to the owners of a blue Peugeot 106 which was seen leaving the area around this time to eliminate them from our enquiries.

“The jewellery stolen is of huge sentimental value to the victim and we would like to hear from anyone who has been offered these items for sale.”

Any witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
