Fairy stilt walkers, a 50s hula hooper, face painters, balloon shaper, flash mobs, human statues and even a cloud machine formed part of an extravaganza at the weekend to welcome the new intu Milton Keynes – formerly Midsummer Place.
Thousands turned up for the event on Saturday and were treated to entertainment wherever they looked.
There were surprizes on the hour, giveaways and competitions to enter, which was all part of the Centre’s ‘Everyone’s Invited’ event.
Martin Hindson, general manager at intu Milton Keynes, said: “This was a fantastic event and we had one of our busiest Saturday’s of the year.
“All of the staff got involved whether it was handing out balloons or yo yos, they all showed what a great team we have here.
“The new intu Milton Keynes will continue to delight and surprise as this is just the start, there’s more to come.”
The centre is launching its new kids’ club this summer and the next major event is a Food Festival on 13 and 14 September.
