Three drivers had to be taken to hospital after a collision on the A5 northbound carriageway at Bow Brickhill yesterday morning.
A black Vauxhall Astra being driven the wrong way on the road by an 81-year-old woman collided with two cars while also avoiding colliding with various others.
The driver collided with a black Citroen Saxo, driven by a 26-year-old man, and a blue Skoda Fabia, driven by a 59-year-old woman.
All drivers were taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital but were released later the same day.
The 26-year-old male suffered minor injuries and the other two drivers were released after being checked by doctors.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incidents or saw the Astra driving in the area before hand.
Any witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
