A VEHICLE hire and fleet firm has unveiled a £500,000 new look.

Northgate Vehicle Hire, in Burners Lane South, Kiln Farm, has turned the base into the central hub for its Home Counties region.

The base has been given a dedicated reception area for rental and workshop customers.

There are now two plasma TVs with information points; one of which to display a live workshop planner so customers can track the maintenance progress of their vehicles and a refreshment and working area with Wi-Fi access for customers,

The redevelopment also sees a new open plan back office to improve operational performance and communication between departments.

The Milton Keynes workshop has been re-designed to improve efficiency and mechanics have been given updated equipment.

Branch manager Chris Tudge said: “The Milton Keynes site is the central hub for Northgate’s entire operation in the Home Counties and so its presentation and facilities are of utmost importance. Our £500,000 investment in the infrastructure has been worth every penny and, as well as providing our colleagues with a working environment that allows them to carry out their jobs effectively, we have improved process efficiencies significantly to ensure that our customers have an unrivalled experience with every visit.”
