Man hit by train in Milton Keynes is named

A man who was hit by a train close to Milton Keynes has been named as David Holmes.

The inquest into his death was opened this week at Milton Keynes Coroner’s court and it was found that Mr Holmes, 32, of Beanhill had walked down the track towards a London bound train on March 18 before it hit him.

The incident caused major disruptions and cancellations for passengers travelling on Virgin, Southern and London Midland services at the time.

The full inquest will be heard on September 24.
