Roads closed after baked bean spillage

Drivers had 57 varieties of congestion this morning, when a 35-tonne articulated lorry overturned in Newport Pagnell, spilling its cargo of baked beans.

The incident happened at around 7.06am on the H3 near Newport Pagnell Football Club.

The road had to be closed in both directions as the food cans were spilt over the highway.

Police said the vehicle was righted at 10.30am and the driver was uninjured.
