Police want to speak to this woman following a theft from a train as it travelled between Milton Keynes and Birmingham.
Officers from British Transport Police (BTP) have released this image from an intercity train, following the incident which took place shortly after midnight on Tuesday, August 12.
PC Chris Woolley said: “A member of staff on board a Virgin Trains service from London Euston had closed the on board shop and left the takings secured in bag on the seat by the first class kitchen.
“When the member of staff came back to the carriage, the bag containing the money had been taken from the seat.
“Enquiries have been ongoing to establish who took the cash and I am today able to release photographs of a woman I would like to identify and speak to as I believe she will have key information about this incident.
“It’s unclear at this stage which station the woman got off the train during the journey between Milton Keynes and Birmingham New Street stations.”
If you can identify the woman call British Transport Police on Freefone 0800 405040 or text 61016. Alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
