A city landlord has set himself a tough task, taking on three marathons in three weeks.

Steve Sharrock, landlord of The Three Horseshoes in Drayton Parslow is putting on his running shoes and bravely attempting to complete the London, Brighton and Milton Keynes courses.

Steve took up running to keep himself fit but after a few years set himself his first challenge of running around the Isle of Wight in just two days - an event that saw him raise over £1,100.

In this latest challenge, the 38-year-old is hoping to beat that amount with a target of £1,500 which he will donate to the Alzheimers Society.

Steve said: “I’ve run for various charities in the past, but after my wife’s nan past away last year after suffering from Dementia, I decided I wanted to run for the Alzheimers Society in her memory.”
