AN international triathlon event series is coming to Milton Keynes this month.
The TriStar triathlon sees people taking on a 0.3km swim, 33km cycle and 3km run and on July 29 the inaugural Milton Keynes event will take place.
The event series was launched in September 2009 with TriStar200 Andalucia in Spain and has grown since expanding from four races in 2010, nine in 2011 and 29 expected to take place this year.
The event is held in collaboration with Big Cow Events and this year they are introducing a new format into triathlon that eases the access and is open to everyone: the 111, 1k of swimming, 100k of cycling and 10k running.
Participants can also enter the TriStar 33.3 distance and organisers also offer a Kids Race the day before.
Participants and spectators will be also have a chance to get involved with the TriStar Expo over the weekend catering for between 500 to 1000 people for the weekend.
