Have your say

Tim Lawson is usually found rustling up cracking tunes in a studio environment, in his role as an urban music producer.

But this week viewers of the popular Channel 4 show Come Dine with Me have seen Tim rustle up something entirely different!

“Music and food are my two greatest passions and I would say I am equally matched with both of them,” said Tim, who switched from turntable to kitchen table for his starring role.

“I love experimenting with food and rated myself highly as a cook, and my friends say I’m good.

“But I thought the only way to find out once and for all was to step up to the challenge of cooking on television in a competition under pressure to see if my confidence was justified.”

Usually all participants are from the same area, but this week’s challengers are from various towns.

Tim said: “When I learned I would be the only contestant from Milton Keynes I felt even more pressure to represent my friends, family and city!”

Tim worked his culinary skills and delivered stuffed peppers topped with goats cheese on exotic salad, Moroccan lamb tagine with cous cous and sauteed plum with mascarpone cheese accompanied by a rum and vanilla sauce, sprinkled with cinnamon and nutmeg.

But will it prove enough for Tim to take the top prize? You will have to wait until Friday to find out.
