Twisting and shouting at the end of the Games

They were partying in the parks of Wolverton at the end of the Paralympics Games last weekend.

The Twist, Handjive and Jitterbug were on display at Wolverton Park as part of a musical extravaganza organised by Places for People, celebrating the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Games.

The Milton Keynes Brass Development Band, Michelle Nova, and the Broadway Twisters belted out 50s hits, as well as a classic car show.

Director at Places for People, Elliott Stiling, said: “It was a fabulous celebration of local talent and great to see so many people from the community turn out and take a trip down a musical memory lane to the 1950s.”
