Two men and women charged with burgling 18 homes in Milton Keynes

Four people have been charged with 18 burglaries and four attempted burglaries in the city.

Carl Torano, 31, a prisoner at HMP Woodhill Prison, Sarah Phillips, 26 of Squires Close, Coffee Hall, Donovan Shippey, 35, of Shaw Road, Blakenhall and Elizabeth Barker, 29, of Northridge, Eaglestone are charged with conspiracy to burgle between October 4 2012 and February 13 2013.

The burgled homes were in Monkston, Middleton, Kents Hill, Walnut Tree, Emerson Valley, Shenley Lodge, Springfield and Milton Keynes Village.

Mr Torano and Ms Phillips were arrested on February 11 this year, while Shippey and Barker were arrested on February 9.

Shippey and Barker were charged on November 19 and appeared at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

They have been bailed to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court tomorrow.

Torano, who was charged on December 1, and Phillips, who was charged on November 28, will appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
