Two men have each been sentenced to two years’ imprisonment for burglary of a pensioner’s home.

John Lamb, aged 40, of Surrey Place, Bletchley, and Peter Smith, aged 34, also of Surrey Place, Bletchley, appeared atAmersham Crown Court last Friday, when they pleaded guilty to the offence.

The burglary was committed at around 1pm on July 29, at a property in Church Green Road, Bletchley.

The court was told the owner, an elderly woman, heard a noise from the door of her dining room and when she investigated was confronted by Lamb and Smith.

One of the men told her they did not think anyone was at home and they both ran out of the house.

The jail terms are to run concurrently with sentences the men are already serving for burglary.
