‘Vanta Claus’ delivered £6,000 worth of essential goods to food banks in seven UK cities, thanks to Dawsonrentals Vans.
Setting off from the firm’s Newcastle depot, the Vanta van travelled across the UK during the week-long campaign, delivering to food banks in Newcastle, Doncaster, Skelmersdale, Ipswich, Reading, Cardiff, and ending its journey at the company headquarters in Milton Keynes.
During the journey, Dawsonrentals Vans raised £2,500 for FareShare, a charity that is fighting hunger by tackling food waste.
Followers could track Vanta’s journey by installing Dawsongroup’s new telematics service, Dawsontrac.
Managing director Gareth Jones said: “We have been overwhelmed by the support from our employees, suppliers and customers throughout Vanta’s journey across the UK. It’s been fantastic to deliver essential items to food banks to make a difference to people’s lives at Christmastime.”
