A Wolverton-based Indian restaurant helped to raise £800 for CLIC Sargent through a recent Bollywood evening..
Verandah Talk held the event on June 1, and raised the money for the charity which helps children with cancer.
The evening was organised by restaurant owners Taj Raja and Pavi Sharma, with Marilyn Carmichael.
Marilyn said: “I love to help the Clic Sargent charity. I decided eight years ago to raise money for the children and families who need money to have a better lifestyle whilst dealing with their challenges. Next year I will be walking the Grand Canyon to raise some more money.”
The event saw Bollywood Dancing, henna tattoos, live music and a special Asian food buffet.
Mr Raja said: “Marilyn has completed a super job in gathering caring people together and we will welcome her back to have a meal with us as a thank you for all of her hard work”.
