CHILDREN of all ages have the chance to enjoy a Summer Blow Out during the school holidays.
Skate ramps, half and quarter pipes have been set up outside Xscape by nationwide company Highline Adventure since Monday, August 6 and youngsters are already raving about it.
Rory Millhouse, 15, from Wolverton, said: “We would love to have something like this in Milton Keynes permanently. It will help keep people motivated and it gets the younger ones involved in BMX riding.”
And 14-year-old Courtney Foster, added: “It’s really fun here and there are a lot of things to do. It gives kids the chance to make new friends and meet new people.”
Nathan Williams, 6, said: “It’s good. There’s lots of people and it’s in Milton Keynes. You get to watch the good ones and it’s good to meet new friends and learn some new tricks.”
The skate park will be there until August 26 every day between 12pm and 8pm.
Sean Warren, from Highline Adventure, said: “We have skateboards here but no scooters, children have to bring their own. But we provide pads and helmets and they must be worn. It’s great to get kids involved with activities outside in the summer.”
On August 26 the park will be hosting a professional skateboarding demonstration.
