People are being invited to take on the Titan Burger challenge at the Kiln Farm Club this Saturday.
Brothers and co-owners, Marc and Simon O’Brien, are helping to raise money from the challenge for the Henry Allen Appeal to aid a young boy who has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma.
The challenge will see people attempting to eat three 6oz burgers in one bun, with hot chilli, 10 onion rings, and caramelised onions on a sea of chips.
So far just four people out of the 80 who have ever tried it have succeeded.
Bar manager Simon said: “It will be amazing to see so many people eating Titans and we are hoping people can get as much sponsorship as possible to take it on.
“So far 20 people have signed up and more are welcome to come and join them.”
The pair were approached by the charity who asked if they could combine the pre-existing Titan burger with an event to raise money for Henry.
Head chef Marc said: “We already had the burger here and we were asked if we could hold it here. We have met the appeal team and they all have jobs and children.
“We are looking forward to it because we are massive fans of the Man vs Food show and this is a great opportunity to raise money for the charity.”
To take on the Titan challenge call the Kiln Farm Club on 01908 262924. You can also visit the Henry’s Hope Facebook page where you can download a sponsorship form.
The challenge is just £14.95 and all proceeds will go to the charity.
